Students from Long Road Sixth Form College showcase a combination of creative specialisms that display the diversity of creative ‘up-and-coming young talent’ within Cambridge. This year’s show has been entitled 'Vision' as the exhibiting cohort look to their creative futures ahead.
Long Road Sixth Form College's Art Foundation course is a one-year qualification. It is a fast, exciting opportunity for creative students to develop a bespoke portfolio that supports a range of opportunities. Creative thinking is fortified through use of crits, tutorials and peer feedback. Graduates have won London-based internships from opportunities attached to the course and have progressed through a range of exciting routes. Alumni have gained places at leading institutes such as the University of the Arts London and others overseas, furthering their creative education. On the course, students are able to embark on a range of international trips, for example to New York and Paris, as well as learning industry skills and developing levels of professionalism. Students have the opportunity to present at a range of exhibitions in central Cambridge and London. The course is taught by a body of industry specialists and regularly involves professional practitioners.
